In 2017, 1,100 Ethiopian students will be sent to China for short-term training, liu said, adding that 359 Ethiopian students will be studying for a doctorate in China. These personnel receive training programs covering more than 20 fields including education, administrative management, medical and health care, agriculture, industrial manufacturing, etc.

"These training programmes are very compatible with Ethiopia's economic and social development needs and will certainly benefit Ethiopia's capacity-building and national development." Liu tao said.

Liu tao pointed out that in the past forty years, the development of China made great achievements, and transformation from an agricultural society to industrial society, one of the important reason is that China made full use of human resources the precious wealth. Ethiopia has maintained rapid economic growth over many years and has become the largest economy in East Africa, which is also closely linked to Ethiopia's better use of human capital.

Ethiopia's education minister, jacqui, also said in a meeting that Ethiopia attaches great importance to human resources development and hopes to promote the realization of economic and social development goals. He thanked China for its strong support for human resources training in Ethiopia and hopes to further strengthen cooperation in this field in the future.

According to data provided by the Chinese embassy in Ethiopia, from 2006 to 2006, China has to Ethiopia has trained more than 4000 government officials and all kinds of professional and technical personnel, involved in administrative management, agriculture, forestry and fishing, communications, geological, education and other fields.
